It was very rewarding to be able to make a positive difference to the lives of others.<\/p><p>As an intern, I was given key responsibilities in supporting the overall goals of the marketing &amp; events department and was allowed the freedom to pursue my own development opportunities. It was exciting to work on variety of assignments including using social media to raise awareness and engage with supporters, developing engaging marketing collateral, and managing fundraising events etc.\u00a0 In particular, I really enjoyed working on a fundraising project called the\u00a0<em>You are Beautiful\u00a0<\/em>exhibition which gave me a chance to hear the most inspiring and life changing stories which have changed the way I see life.<\/p><p>I was lucky to work in an environment with talented and committed professionals who took a personal interest in my career development.
